Из удобств хотелось бы отметить, процесс обновления - DS708 подключается к интернету как обычный компьютер по LAN или WiFi, далее просто нажимаете Update, система автоматически проверит на сервере наличие новых версий ( или новых марок) и предложит обновить. Нет больше необходимости что-то скачивать, писать на флешку, переность в сканер и т.д., процесс максимально удобен и прост.
Далее, в сканере есть обычный интерент браузер, и если сканер подключен к интернету, то нет проблем что-то найти в поисковике, прочитать в форуме, непосредственно используя сам сканер и не бегая к компьютеру.
Еще одна интересная функция это отправка протокола ошибки ( в настоящее время полностью реализован в США, для европейских пользователей - в режиме тестирования) . Если произошел сбой при чтении какого-либо блока, выполнение доп. функции, вообщем чего-то что должно было отработать, но не было выполено, производителю можно выслать протокол данной ошибки для фиксации его и получения соответсвующего патча.
